Christmas card done for secret santa card exchange type thing organized among illustration students in my year.

Ostensibly frightening, this piece can also illustrate a tender moment. Santa is anticipating his leave from the house when he hears a sleeping child sigh serenely. As he steps cautiously toward the bed, the child unconsciously turns his body toward the frosted window. Leaning over the bedpost, the saint sprinkles a magical dust on the crown of the boy's head...granting him dreams of sugar plums, gum drops, glittering lanterns, grand ballrooms, light snowfalls and dancing fairies with their hands entwined. In an instant, Santa disappears and the boy wakes
